The Board of Christian Education-Day School provides learning opportunities for pre-school through 8th grade, sets up adequate objectives for every age level, selects curriculum that shall be Christian, comprehensive, balanced and functional and fosters spiritual growth in the live of the individual Christian.

The Board of Missions Assists the Pastors and the Board of Elders by providing support with Evangelism, Social Welfare and Public Relations. Several members of the committee make home visits to guests who have signed the Visitor cards on Sunday. They also assist Elders with the development and calling congregation members with the “telephone calling tree” to advise members of current events for the coming month. They provide support for feeding of the homeless once a month and prepare and submit advertisement notices for the local Sentinel newspapers. The committee feels everyone in the church has some talent in helping spread the mission of Christ. There are a variety of ways you can help contribute your special talents here at Gethsemane.

The Board of Trustees administers all property of the congregation. They inspect the building and grounds for necessary repairs and/or improvements. They do the repairs or authorize necessary and emergency repairs and purchase of supplies.

The Board of Stewardship promotes dedicated Christian stewardship throughout the year by soliciting pledges once a year, has the congregation fill out time and talent sheets and gives the offering envelopes.

The Board of Youth Assists in the Christian education of our young people. They coordinate and supervise the activities of the Youth Groups.

The Board of Parish Education provides learning opportunities for all members of Gethsemane, such as Sunday Education Hour, Vacation Bible School and Bible studies.
