The Ladies Social
Ministry
The Ladies Social Ministry meets the 2nd Monday of the month at
7:00 p.m. in the church basement. Following devotions, a program
is conducted and activities are planned. The Ladies Social Ministry
organizes and hosts an annual Spring Women’s Brunch and a
Christmas Tea. They also hold suppers during Lent and Advent. The
Ladies Social Ministry recently hosted the Harvest of Bounty Dinner
and Auction to raise funds for a new marquee sign for the church
and school.
Seniors
Group
The Seniors Group meets the 1st Thursday
of every month at 12:00 noon. It is a potluck luncheon and following
the meal they have devotions and an activity such as a white elephant
bingo, guest speakers or trip to a local place of interest.

Vacation Bible School
Gethsemane Lutheran Church uses Concordia Publishing Materials
for their VBS. Each year the theme is different but all teach
about
Jesus and His love. VBS is held for one week in June from 9:00
am to 11:30 am. During that time, the children age 3 through
fifth
grade
participate in a rotation curriculum. While in their age groups
they go from one site to the next, which are Music, Games, Class,
Snacks, and Crafts. The children spend twenty minutes at each site
learning about Jesus having a great time.
Gethsemane's Vacation Bible School has been blessed
with over 100 children and grouping every year. This is possible
due to the wonderful volunteers.
We
had
50 volunteers ranging in age from 11 to senior citizens. Others
were involved by donating food for the snacks, money and their
time.
